Veg noodles, (for everybody hungry and brave enough to try my recipe)


noodles (I used Bali kitchen noodles)

1 onion

7-8 dices of chopped carrots

5-6 cherry tomatoes

half a yellow capsicum

some green peas


salt, cumin powder, red chilli powder

After the conventional cooking of noodles in boiling water with a pinch of salt, drain the water and let it rest.

Heat a desired measure of olive oil, and put the carrots first. After a minute, add the chopped onion, capsicum and green peas. Cook for a few minutes, then add the noodles and cherry tomatoes together. Add some cumin powder, chilli powder and not to forget some salt. Smother some more olive oil and stir for a few minutes and it's ready to be devoured. Squeeze in some good ol' lemon.

*Add schezwan chutney for the much-needed 'je ne sais quoi' element to spice up the taste.


Pancakes, for Sunday brunch

Ingredients for the pancake:

refined flour

an egg

half-tablespoon brown sugar

a pinch of salt


a dash of vanilla

Whisk all the ingredients in a bowl, add a little bit of cooking oil/ clarified butter in it if you desire. Heat the pan, pour in a bit of the pancake batter. Flip to the other side after the puny pores give an intuition of one side being cooked. Don't burn it, just let it be the slight rusty colour. Assemble your pancakes in a little tower. Add your chosen berries, smother honey all over it. Your Sunday Pancake is ready, don't forget to put your favourite book on the table. Binge-read while you tuck the tasty pancakes in your fork, eat it slowly.
